In a cozy, little Oregon town, nestled on a fir-covered knoll,

you’ll find R Place Ranch.  Down the hill a bit, grazing contentedly

near an age-old apple tree, you might spot a few beautiful paints,

sleek quarter horses, and a stallion whose coat shimmers like gold in the sunshine.

These are some of the “residents” of R Place.

Amid a flurry of pedigrees, work boots, and western art, you

find Richard and Merry Lou Rust doing what they love best

– raising horses.

Richard Rust has been around horses all his life, working on ranches as a teenager, working with rodeo stock, and being employed by Hollywood as the horse wrangler for the television series "Gun Smoke."

Merry Lou has also been around horses all her life and spent

many hours as a youngster riding and living her passion for the equine.

Having both come full circle, the Rusts love and appreciate

the horses they raise.  It is their hope that you will enjoy them as much

as they do!
